She joined Massey Community House in 1993 after many years of service to the health sector.Besides nursing, her work background includes clerical middle-management, and at flax-roots level, being a humble check-out operator.Jane is now responsible for managing and leading twelve staff who complete administrative work and accounting and she also has professional responsibility for ensuring that adult and community education tutors and holiday programme staff deliver quality porgrammes.

In recent years Jane has undertaken part time study and hopes to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy this year.

Jane believes that people are our greatest resource and that we must bring out their skills and abilities in order to cope with an ever accelerating fast-paced ever-changing world.She believes her role at the Community House represents an ideal way of assisting the community to achieve their goals.Her work is literally to engage with people throughout the entire life span.
