FREE on the following Friday’s between 12.30 and 1.30pm

Friday October 28 – ‘Your Tenancy Rights’

When you are having problems with your landlord, it can seem like a lonely world. We rely on our houses to shelter our whanau, and problems with our houses can threaten our entire world. But never fear, help is here! Come along and find out your rights, so you can protect yourself and your whanau and get what you’re entitled to.

Friday November 4 – ‘Working For You’

There are some pretty big changes to our employment law coming through in July of this year. Employment rights are the safeguard of our income and our livelihood, and it is very important to be aware of what you can require from your employer. With the changes that have come through, you could be entitled to more at your workplace. Pop along for lunch and let’s talk about it.

Friday November 11 – ‘Access to Justice’

Things aren’t as simple as they used to be. If someone owed you money, or if you are being accused of a crime, it used to be as simple as going to Court. But now, there are reductions to the Legal Aid scheme, and you may not be able to get a lawyer any more. So do you have access to justice? Come find out more, before it’s too late!

All seminars presented by Shane Henderson of the Waitakere Community Law Service.
